Stonewall & District Christmas Cheer Board

Mitten Tree:  Warren United Church will gladly receive any knitted items of mittens, gloves, toques, neck warmers, etc. as in past years. There will be a large cardboard box at the back of the church sanctuary for these items as the mitten tree will not be set up this year.  If you know of someone who has knitted items for this project please pass this information on to them or let me know and I will gladly make a pick up. The Christmas Cheer Board graciously accepts these items.

In past years, Warren and Meadow Lea Churches have received items for the Christmas Cheer Board on White Gift Sunday. However, with church being so different this year, it was decided to put this information out earlier as there are only 3 Sundays left before the deadline date of December 10th.

The following items are most appreciated as donations:

  1. Monetary donations:
  2. May be dropped off at Barb Riddell’s home in Warren
  3. May be put on the church collection plate upon entering the church (in a labelled envelope)
  4.  May be mailed to Box 1919, Stonewall, Mb  R0C2Z0
  5. E-transferred to
  6. Dropped off at Sunova Credit Union in Stonewall
  7. Dropped off to Nancy at CIBC in Stonewall
  • Toys and pyjamas for children:  All items must be new and unwrapped
  • May be dropped off at Barb Riddell’s home in Warren
  • May be put in the cardboard ‘mitten tree’ box at the back of Warren Church

Non-perishable food items were often donated in past years, ie.  a jar of peanut butter or tin of tuna, but with many people having food intolerances, the Christmas Cheer Board has found that buying gift cards with the monetary donations works best. Each family can then shop for their own food preferences.

All donations need to be received before Friday, December 10th.

Thank you in advance to our congregations/community for your support in taking part in this special initiative to collect gifts for those less fortunate so they may have a happier Christmas.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email or phone me at 204-383-5868.
